INSTITUTIONAL - Architecture for Learning + Discovery Environments

As Atelier Ryder has learned in the modern workplace interaction leads to innovation even more so for the science and discovery disciplines.  Learning and Discovery work is performance-driven in that the buildings we create must perform environmentally, technically, socially, and financially.  Research facilities have demanding technical needs that must be formulated to enhance and enable the work for results.  However, technical state-of-the art facilities are not just about air changes and quality of finishes but about the quality of the environment including access to natural light for office, write-up areas, and public areas.  The quality of environment does impacts productivity and ability to recruit and retain employees.  We strive to balance the technical and emotional within our learning and discovery environments.
